A walk from Eden Park station (Oyster Card Zone 5) up to Bethlem Museum of the Mind joining their monthly History Walk running from 11.00 am-12.00 pm. Then some time to look around the museum's temporary and permanent exhibitions. There is tea/coffee and cake available at the museum. For those who wish they can bring a packed lunch and eat it in the Museum grounds. At 1.30 pm we will walk to Kelsey Park, Kelsey Village and Beckenham Place Park. There is a lovely homestead cafe in Beckenham Place Park serving soft drinks, alcoholic drinks, pizza and other hot & cold foods. We will stop there for the after-walk social. Beckenham Hill station (Oyster Card Zone 4) is a 10 minute walk from the Homestead Cafe.
The walk is an opportunity to see the beautiful grounds of Bethlem Hospital and to learn about its history as well as the free exhibitions inside the museum. Voluntary donations to the museum's trust can be made at the venue or online at the following link:

The terrain is mostly flat on road and footpaths. It may be muddy in places. Waterproofs and warm clothing essential!
