Another winter Monday pop-up - a brisk (3 mph) walk largely following the Thames Path from Richmond Station to Putney Bridge, with the expected wind behind us as we walk down river. We leave Richmond and cross to the west side over Richmond Lock and continue through Isleworth, Syon Park, Brentford and Strand on the Green, Chiswick, before reaching our lunch stop at Chiswick Park, where there is a cafe (although you may prefer to bring a snack lunch). From there we head back to the Thames path northern bank and along to Hammersmith and Fulham Palace, before reaching Putney Bridge, where there is a popular refreshment stop or the choice of Putney Bridge or Putney stations nearby.
The route is almost entirely paved, but expect some puddles after more weekend rain. Some detours from the river may be necessary on the day, although we will miss high tide.
There are toilets at Richmond Station.
The finishing time is an estimate and dependent on numerous factors on the day.
There are plenty of drop out points on or close to the route.
