Walking in Berkshire

We have 9 Ramblers groups based in Berkshire: seven traditional groups covering the county; a 20s & 30s group and a weekend walking group – so we have something for everybody!

All the groups cover their own area of Berkshire but do walk further afield, with walks ranging from 3 or 4 miles to 15 miles or more. Berkshire is a relatively flat county with not many hills, but we can still offer some challenging walks.

If you are interested in walking in a particular area, the closest group to that area is probably the one to try first, but don’t worry if you don’t find the right group at first – once you’re a member of the Ramblers, you can walk with any group!

Come along and join us!

The groups in Berkshire help people enjoy walking and protect the places we all love to walk. Our groups help to look after paths and green spaces, open up new places to explore and act as the leading voice on walking matters near you.

The groups in Berkshire not only offer group walks but also help to maintain local footpaths with maintenance groups or replace broken/old stiles with more friendly gates.
