We are Kent Ramblers. Our 13 local groups offer led walks across the county and beyond. We also have hundreds of volunteers working to enhance and promote the footpath network and protect it from the many threats it faces – why not become one of them?

Kent is one of the largest of the Ramblers’ areas with over 4000 members and thirteen local groups. The area covers not just the county of Kent but also the unitary authority of Medway and the London boroughs of Bexley and Bromley.
The area is exceptionally well provided with great countryside and coast with around 4500 miles of public rights of way. Kent has 180 miles of varied and historic coast path and many other long distance paths including the North Downs Way, the Greensand Way and the Wealdway. Many routes through attractive landscapes are surprisingly quiet despite being easily accessible to large centres of population.
While many people belong to Kent Ramblers to participate in the walks and social events organised by our welcoming local groups, even more just want to support the vital work done by our hundreds of volunteers promoting the interests of all walkers in Kent. This work includes:
Defending the path network against obstructions, closures and detrimental diversions;
Researching routes missing from official maps and getting them recorded;
Helping with the clearance of vegetation and other path maintenance;
Providing information and inspiration to independent walkers by publishing guidebooks and walking routes to download from our web site.
